JOB SUMMARY:


The Senior Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with prospective clients through networking, cold calling, face-to-face meetings, web meetings, etc., learning about clients’ needs, and positioning Onsharp’s products and services. Must have a successful track record of achieving goals and sales numbers. This position partners with the Business and Development teams to deliver results on time, meet budget goals, and all sales strategies should be delivered with a high degree of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Generate new sales by providing product and technical information in a timely and consultative manner in order to meet established goals
  • Proactively identifies potential issues or opportunities to clients and Onsharp
  • Gathers customer requirements and expectations and collaborates with the Onsharp development team to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Responsible for documentation of customer network requirements
  • Responsible for assisting in the development and presenting proposals i.e. RFP’s
  • Responsible for writing the scope of work for potential business
  • Represent Onsharp at industry events, including round tables, speaking forums and trade shows
  • Oversees accurate and timely transactions such as quotations, purchase orders, invoices, order changes and adjustments
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with client and works to provide the best possible service experience
  • Develops and monitors quotes, opportunities, etc. in sales management tools – CRM.
  • Follows up on status of quotes, orders, and receipts and communicates with clients, vendors, and Onsharp team members appropriately
  • Ensures that sales opportunities are responded to in a timely manner
  • Participates in meetings to report accurate status of opportunities and efforts
  • Contacts clients following sales to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a professional IT outside sales environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a polished, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Skill in organizing and managing time across multiple tasks.
  • Skill in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service.
  • "Hunter" sales mentality.
  • Must live within assigned territory.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own a dependable vehicle.
  • Technology/Solution selling experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a home office setting with interaction with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. Work will frequently require individual to meet with prospects and clients in their work environment and to participate in events.
